Peace Building

Weisberg’s Peace Building work over forty years ranges from serving as a consultant to the Culture of Peace Program of United Nations Educational and Scientific Organization (UNESCO) and two other United Nations agencies and Executive Director of the Family-School-Community-City Violence Prevention Peace Promotion Strategy, pioneering in the struggle to mainstream a culture of people in cities.  The Make A Minute for Peace panel is from a 365 day in the year program to work with families and schools.  Several other components of a violence prevention and peace promotion strategy are available.

The twenty panels below were prepared for the Chicago Build the Peace Committee 30th anniversary of peace day in Chicago (buildthepeace.org).  They were displayed as large panels in the Richard J. Daley lobby.  The panels are available for loan to schools, public libraries and other institutions.  The text of the panels is being prepared as a Pocket Pamphlet for distribution to children and youth.
